On Nov. 18-19, 1981, Goleta Depot was moved in two pieces by truck and trailer from trackside to a new home at Lake Los Carneros County Park (now a City of Goleta park). Don't be fooled by the "7 minutes" driving time indicated in the Google map below. It took many hours to complete the 2.9-mile move, mostly in the early hours of Nov. 19.
